ISO 9001 is an International Quality Management System Standard that specifies requirements within which an organization demonstrates its ability to consistently provide product or service to meet customer and legal requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and opening the way to continual improvement. The requirements are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size or product/service provided. Globally more than one million organizations have implemented ISO 9001 Management Systems (50,000 organizations in North America).
ISO 9001 was originally published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization, a worldwide federation of national standards bodies, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The Organization was founded in 1946 to develop a common set of standards for manufacturing, trade and communications. Today more than 150 countries are members, each with a representative. The representative for the United States is the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). In addition to ISO 9001, more than 17,000 other ISO standards exist. ISO 9001:2008 is the current version of this standard.
One of the corner stone competencies here at MMI is in blow molding design and engineering. We offer a competitive advantage over our competitors because of our vast experience and understanding of this highly specialized field. We continually help our customers overcome their design obstacles by engineering solutions into the product which in most cases results in a wider processing window and a higher quality part.
Coming soon to MMI will be our newest addition to our Machine line up. A dual head 5 & 8 lbs. shot blow molding machine. This unit will allow us to better support our customers needs regarding tool trials and realizing a more efficient turn around from first shots to final submission parts.
In order to better serve our customers and stay true to our mission, MMI has invested in and utilizes its three injection mold machines to support all of our post tooling trial needs. MMI currently has three injection molding presses ranging in sizes of 200-ton, 450-ton and finally our 1000-ton presses. We also support limited low production needs for those customers who have a limited time frame. By having our own Injection Molding department, MMI can insure the most efficient timing between tool production and part submission to our customers.
Extrusion processing is another competency we have at MMI which seperates us from our competition. Here at MMI we have the capability to support any prototype and low volume production extrusion needs. Most often our customers come to us for help in designing their extrusion to aide in the manufacture as well as insure the end product works as designed. We have a very high customer return rate due to our ability to satisfy our customers’ needs every time. We have run virtually every extrudable resin available in the industry today. From single to multiple durometer sections to crossheaded rollformed sections. From metal substrates to composite substrates we have done it all and look forward to challenges presented to us.
MMI has the capability to design, engineer, and produce specific products requiring vacuum form technology. Utilizing our experience in vacuum forming technologies and our in house vacuum forming system, we can deliver to our customers their product for review and submission in a much shorter time than most.
With 5 machining centers here at MMI Companies, we are able to take your math data and produce the required tooling with the highest level of accuracy in the shortest amount of turn around.
