ISO 9001 is an International Quality Management System Standard that specifies requirements within which an organization demonstrates its ability to consistently provide product or service to meet customer and legal requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and opening the way to continual improvement. The requirements are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size or product/service provided. Globally more than one million organizations have implemented ISO 9001 Management Systems (50,000 organizations in North America).
ISO 9001 was originally published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization, a worldwide federation of national standards bodies, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The Organization was founded in 1946 to develop a common set of standards for manufacturing, trade and communications. Today more than 150 countries are members, each with a representative. The representative for the United States is the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). In addition to ISO 9001, more than 17,000 other ISO standards exist. ISO 9001:2008 is the current version of this standard.
MMI can insure the correct resources will be assigned and managed by one of our experienced project managers to insure timing is met and within budget.
Another innovative approach MMI has implemented in the Design and Engineering department is to utilize the extensive resources available in the market. This market approach allows us to focus our needs and deliverables to the specific resources that specialize in whatever engineering and design challenges we are faced with. By utilizing resources outside of MMI along with our in house talent, we can insure our costs stay competitive to our competition and we can meet and exceed our customers expectations.
Along with our in house CMM capability, MMI has partnered with on of the most progressive laser scanning companies in Michigan. We are now able to digitally scan any part or component and overlay that scan to math data to determine conformity to any location on a given part. This on site capability sets us apart from our competition and is offered to every customer as a standard service. We feel it is very important to verify the tooling, process and product with this technology to insure ultimate customer satisfaction.
Complimenting our design, engineering and tooling manufacturing competency and also holding to our Point of Contact philosophy, we at MMI can support any of your light assembly needs. With our experienced staff and our ability to offer full service support from design engineering, tooling and finally light assembly, we at MMI have positioned ourselves to become the “go to” prototype company in Michigan.
